Mt. Rainer

What have we done to our children Emily is scared of snow it took her a long time to warm up to playing with the snow and was so scared to walk in it!

This is the view of Mt. Rainer the second day we were there, the first day we could not see it due to clouds.

This picture was taken a long way up the mountain. Well only a little over a mile up from the visitors center but it was sure a long walk!

See the big line of pine trees in the center of the above picture...go to the right of the two tall ones there are two shorter ones and just to the right of the tip of those two there is a snowbank on the mountain we walked all the way up to there! Emily wined the whole way up but she walked it all. She had a lot more fun walking down!

We were a little worried that the deer was going to come right at us but he veered away a few feet from us!

The walk up, Emily!

The walk up, Cooper!

This is how Cooper walked up!

The walk down without Grandpa and Grandma Jensen, they headed all the way up to the highest look out spot. Two hours later we met them at the bottom. They said the restroom at the top was like a throne that practically hangs off the cliff! They have a few pictures from the top that I will try to post later.

Cooper figured this out only a couple hundred feet from the end of the walk down. I think he was thinking "now why didn't I think of this earlier, this is comfy!"
