So we went out and purchased a bunk bed today since we found one for a great price! They only had two left at the store and of course the one that we walked out with the box was damaged a lot. Well we brought it home and just to be safe decided to open it and see if the pieces were o.k. and we were glad we did. We managed to get the broken pieces switched out with new ones from the store. We also ended up just putting the bed together because of all the pieces that were then laying around. Boy was that fun with the two kids...I do have to say they where helpful at times! But most of the time they just got in the way.
We have also never heard Emily request so many times to take a nap. She kept saying " I taka nap me" Here is the way they were entertained for a short while. Emily thought of this on her own.
We tweaked her idea a little and this is what happened!
So the night ended at 9:30 two hours; YES, TWO hours past the kiddos bedtime the night before we have Coopers birthday party with a completed bunk bed! Emily couldn't be more excited. She practiced a few times getting up and down the ladder which was a disaster. We are expecting a loud bang and some crying in the morning. But hey I remember falling off the bunk a lot as a kid and so does Tony and we are o.k. ;).
Pine bunk bed: built by a one year old, two year old, and two 23 year olds...sleep at your own risk!!
